The recreational path has been paved and looks good. The numerous trees and plantings will mature and everything will blend together. The final layer of asphalt will be applied this coming week (5/17) and should be completed by the end of the week. I am very curious as to see what the first "road art" will be and will the old designs be copied or new ones imagined, we shall see.

My son's 6th grade class came out to the island this past Thursday for a field trip and we had a fantastic morning. We went for a nice nature walk around South Beach followed by a great visit to Pierce and the HLF museum, which the students and adults thoroughly enjoyed. The class ended our outing with a quick tour of the FI oyster business. Steve was incredibly hospital and educated the class about the process of growing  oysters. I would like to thank Pierce, Cynthia, Steve and the FI School for the use of their van.
