Boat capsizes in large waves off Isabella Beach

On Sunday August 16th a group of nine people decided to come over from Connecticut to spend the day at Isabella Beach. The day was calm and clear but hurricane Danny was far off shore and the effects were large swells and waves. From what I understand they tried to anchor their Boston Whaler and somehow got hit by a large wave and the boat flipped. Most of the people made it to shore but there were two people, an adult and child, trapped under the boat. I gather it drifted down the shore and the FIFD was called and some people did some very heroic things to get the two ashore. I tip my hat to all of those that helped and diverted what could have been an awful tragedy.
